How to issue and load a Tursib card
To purchase a subscription, passengers must have a Tursib card issued or have an account in the SibiuBus mobile app.
The Tursib card is issued free of charge at Tursib agencies, based on an ID card.
Loading/reloading the Tursib card can be done at Tursib agencies, at street ticket machines, or online on our website.
Subscriptions purchased in the SibiuBus mobile app will be available only in the app as a QR code and not on the PVC Tursib card. The same applies in reverse: subscriptions loaded on the PVC card will not appear in the app.
Practical examples of subscription use:
- Travelling only within Sibiu / Cristian / Roșia / Poplaca / Șura Mică / Șura Mare / Șelimbăr / Cisnădie / Sadu / Ocna Sibiului → choose the internal subscription.
- Travelling from Cristian/Roșia/Poplaca/Șura Mică/Șura Mare/Șelimbăr/Cisnădie (Zone 1) → Sibiu (Zone 0) → choose the 1-transition subscription.
- Travelling from Sadu (Zone 2) → Cisnădie (Zone 1) → Sibiu (Zone 0) → choose the 2-transition subscription.
- Travelling through multiple communes/towns → choose the full-access subscription and use all routes in all zones except route 22.
- Travelling on the Sibiu – Păltiniș route → choose the Păltiniș subscription.

How are subscriptions validated?
Validation must always be done immediately after boarding the bus.
For subscriptions loaded on the PVC Tursib card, validation is done by tapping the card on the yellow validators in the buses.
For QR-code subscriptions purchased via the SibiuBus mobile app, the QR code is scanned at the yellow validators. The QR code is placed at the bottom of the device, and successful validation displays the message “Have a nice trip!”.
If the route requires using two or more bus lines, passengers must validate the subscription in each bus they board.
All subscriptions include an unlimited number of trips, so validating at each boarding does not affect their validity.
How are subscriptions checked?
Subscription checks are carried out by Tursib traffic inspectors, authorized by the Municipality of Sibiu.
For subscriptions purchased through the SibiuBus mobile app, the QR code generated in the app is scanned by inspectors using their control devices or at the yellow validators.
For subscriptions loaded on the PVC Tursib card, checks are performed the same way—by tapping the card on the yellow validators or the inspectors’ devices.
Please ensure that you have a valid travel pass and that you validate it properly to avoid any inconvenience.
